Age Limit for CLAT Exam

Students need to go through age limit criteria of CLAT exam as specified by the CLAT examination committee. The age limit criteria for UG and PG courses are different as given below:

Minimum Age Limit for CLAT Exam

  • Candidates shall be below 20 Years of age in case of all Unreserved/NRIs/NRI Sponsored categories candidates.
  • Candidates shall be below 22 years of age in case of SC/ST/ OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) category candidates.

Maximum Age Limit for CLAT Exam

  • No Upper/Maximum age limit is prescribed for appearing in CLAT Exam.

Note: Bar Council of India has come with a new circular which recommended that according to the clause 28 of the legal education rules 2008, the most extreme (maximum) age for looking for admission in the 5 years integrated program is 20 years. But this not finalised yet.
