In general, there are two criteria on which your eligibility is judged for IBPS SO exam. You have to qualify this eligibility to apply for this exam. These three criteria are classified into the following classes:

1. IBPS SO Age Limit | Age Limit for IBPS SO Exam 2018

  1. Minimum Age – 20 years
  2. Maximum Age – 30 years

You have to fall under this upper and lower limit to apply for IBPS SO. Ordinary Age Relaxation rules apply.

2. IBPS SO Education Qualification | IBPS SO 2018 Education Qualification

  • I.T Officer (Scale I)
  • 4-year Engineering Degree/Technology Degree in CS/Computer Applications/IT/Electronics/Electronics and Telecommunications/Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Instrumentation

Or, on the other hand

  • Post Graduate Degree in Electronics and Tele Communication/Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Instrumentation/ Electronics /Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications

Or, on the other hand

  • Must be Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level

Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I)

  • 4 year Degree (graduation) in Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Science/Dairy Science/Pisciculture/Agriculture Marketing and Cooperation/Co-operation and Banking/Agro-Forestry/Forestry/ Fishery Science / Agricultural Engineering /Food Science/Agriculture Business Management/Food Technology/ Agricultural Biotechnology /Dairy Technology.

Rajbhasha Adhikari

  • Postgraduate Degree in Hindi with English at the degree level

Or on the other side

  • Postgraduate in Sanskrit with English and Hindi at the degree level.

Law Officer (Scale I)

  • A Bachelor of Degree in Law (LLB) and selected as an advocate in Bar Council.

Marketing Officer (Scale I)

  • Graduate and Two Years Full-time MBA (Marketing)/ Two Years Full-time MMS (Marketing)/Two Years Full-time PGDBA/PGDBM/PGPM/PGDM with specialization in Marketing.

HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I)

  • Graduate and Two Years Full-time Post Graduate degree or Two Years Full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations/ Personnel Management/HR/HRD/Social Work/Labor Law.

The IBPS SO selection happens in 3 phases – Prelims, Mains and Interview. The Preliminary exam is only a qualifying exam, and the marks that you score in the Prelims are not checked towards definite merit list preparation.

When you clear the Prelims exam, you will qualify for the Mains exam. From that point, the chose competitors will be called for the Interview. Your last selection relies on your aggregate performance in Mains Exam and Interview.
