NIOS is an autonomous institution in India. It is constituted under the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (HRD), Government of India. Basically, NIOS board is established for the purpose of enabling people to get the education or continue their education if it discontinued due to any personal or financial reason. The NIOS class 12th syllabus is well organized. NIOS Board provides a very wide range of subjects for class 12th students.
National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) prepares a quality syllabus for students of both class 10th and class 12th. Students can download the syllabus of NIOS for all subjects of class 10th from our website through the link mentioned below this article. The NIOS requires students to study a minimum of five subjects and a maximum of seven subjects. Students have much flexibility in areas of selecting subjects in which they are able to attempt an examination. Also, students are allowed to change subjects midway through the course if they are unhappy with their choice of subject. Students can choose from among three languages for their medium of instruction such as English medium or Hindi medium.
Groups Of Subjects
NIOS Class 12th Syllabus is divided into six groups A, B, C, D, E, and F. Students have to choose subjects among all the six groups. It is good for students if they practice previous years question papers and mock test papers to secure good marks in their exams. Students of class 12th can select five subjects; one or two from languages from Group A and the remaining subjects from Group B, C, D, E and F. Students of class 12th, however, have certain restrictions from choosing subjects like only one subject each from group C, D, E, and F can be taken. NIOS Certification Criteria

| Class 12 | Students have to get a minimum of 33% marks in theory subjects as well as practical exams individually. | Students have to pass in 5 subjects in order to get the passing certificate. However, students can select a maximum of two subjects from the language. |
