CA Common Proficiency Test (CPT Exam Pattern

The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) conduct in 2 sessions

Session I : Total marks – 100, Total Time – 2 hours
Session II : Total marks – 100, Total Time – 2 hours

Session I : Morning Session : 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM.
Session II : Afternoon Session : 02.00 PM to 04.00 PM.

In Session I, there are 2 sections :

Section : A – Fundamentals of Accounting with 60 marks.
Section : B – Mercantile Laws with 40 marks.

In Session II, there are 2 sections :

Section : C – General Economics with 50 marks
Section : D – Quantitative Aptitude (Maths) with 50 marks.

Note :

Total Marks : 200.
Paper Type : Objective – Multiple choice questions
Language of paper : English / Hindi

Marking : There will be negative marking for incorrect answer. 25% marks will be deduced for incorrect answer.
